Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has received the award for ‘Excellence in Islamic Banking – Bahrain’ at the 2020 Finnovex Awards, which was held on the sidelines of Finnovex Middle East 2020. The hybrid virtual and live event comprised of panel sessions, workshops, and an awards ceremony which were held in November at the Conrad Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
“Through embracing digitisation, streamlining complex banking operations, launching innovative Islamic banking services and supporting community initiatives, BisB has played a vital role in contributing to the development of the Islamic finance industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said BisB Chief Executive Officer, Hassan Amin Jarrar.
During Finnovex Middle East 2020, Chief Corporate & Institutional Banking, Wesam Baqer, delivered a virtual session entitled ‘Redefining the Corporate World with Digital Innovations’, which shed light on the bank’s journey in the face of the global pandemic, highlighting the Bank’s digital corporate innovations launched during 2020.
Finnovex Middle East 2020 brought together thought leaders from top banks and financial institutions from the region and beyond to discuss the future of financial services which is currently being reshaped by disruptive technological innovations in various fields.
