Bahrain Backs Saudi Decision Regarding Hajj Season

Bahrain backed the Saudi decision to restrict Hajj season this year to citizens of Islamic countries, who are already living on its territories, due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)

“The Saudi decision is part of precautionary measures, being undertaken by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to curb the spread of the pandemic and protect human lives, in compliance with the global health protocols,” said Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al-Khalifa.

He extended thanks and appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, for the measure which aims to protect pilgrims’ health and safety.

He commended the Saudi Government’s efforts to serve pilgrims and care for their safety on all levels in order to enable them to perform their Hajj rituals safely.
